Jesus paid in full for all our needs

Jesus paid in full for all our needs

Joh 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Strongs Lexicon gives the following explanation:
5055 teleo {tel-eh'-o}
 from 5056; TDNT - 8:57,1161; v
 AV - finish 8, fulfil 7, accomplish 4, pay 2, perform 1, expire 1, misc 3; 26
 1) to bring to a close, to finish, to end 1a) passed, finished 2) to perform, execute, complete, fulfil, (so that the thing done corresponds to what has been said, the order, command etc.) 2a) with special reference to the subject matter, to carry out the contents of a command 2b) with reference also to the form, to do just as commanded, and generally involving the notion of time, to perform the last act which completes a process, to accomplish, fulfil 3) to pay 3a) of tribute ++++ "It is finished or paid" John 19:30
Christ satisfied God's justice by dying for all to pay for the sins of the elect. These sins can never be punished again since that would violate God's justice. Sins can only be punished once, either by a substitute or by yourself.

It should be understood that the old testament rituals were unable to save and change mankind. They at best provided temporary relief from guilt and condemnation. They can be considered as types and examples of what Jesus would eventually come and do through His life and crucifixion. Even while God gave the Israelites all this commandments, He already knew what He was going to do eventually. This is proven by the command which God had given to Moses regarding the camping arrangements of the Jews. When we study this carefully we learn that the Jews was commanded to setup their camp in the form of a cross. Even though God was giving them all these commandments, He knew all along what it would take to reconcile His people and the whole world with Him. It would require the death of His Son.

This is further proven by the genealogy in Genesis chapter 5. On the surface it appears to be just another genealogy of which there are many in the Bible. However, according to Doctor Chuck Missler there is a hidden message in this dull and rather uninteresting genealogy. When those ten names are translated using a Hebrew root dictionary an interesting message emerge. Apparently, it says that man is appointed mortal sorrow but the blessed God will descend from above, teaching that His death will bring the mourning comfort. This is interesting because the Bible says in various places that God knew exactly what He was going to do from before the foundation of the world.
Heb 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

In God’s perception everything was completed from the time creation started because in God’s mind everything was set in stone. He knew what was going to be needed and His mind was already made up regarding the solutions which would have to be provided. It is interesting to note that the only thing which God ever commanded a man to build or erect was the tabernacle. The temple that Solomon built was David’s idea. God never needed a temple of stone because the tabernacle was an exact expression of what the Messiah would eventually come to do. Likewise, the priesthood regulated by explicit laws were simply illustrating to the world what Jesus would eventually come and do. Likewise, all of the ceremonies, feasts and offerings were all showing what redemption was about and what Jesus would do for this world through His life and ministry.

The High priest and his descendants was appointed by God Himself and only the High Priest could make atonement for the people. Then came Jesus the Great High priest who offered Himself up as the perfect Lamb of God to pay for the sins of the world. The tabernacle and all of its symbols and utensils was simply an Image of Christ and His ministry. The tabernacle had only one entrance and likewise Jesus is the only way to the Father.
Joh 10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
Joh 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and all the things which Jesus has purchased for us on the cross.

Likewise, the brazen altar is a type of Christ’s sacrifice for us. This is the first meeting of modern man with God at the brazen altar of sacrifice. There is simply no other way to approach God without admitting that we are lost sinners in need of forgiveness. All who enter through Jesus must pass by the bloodstained altar because there is no other way to be accepted by God. The layer of bronze itself signifies cleansing, the cleansing which is only available through our High priest Jesus Christ. We are cleansed today by the living word of God and Jesus is the Word which has become flesh according to John 1:14. Hebrew 4:12 has a lot to say about the cleansing power of the Word. In the Holy place of the tabernacle was the table of presence, the golden lampstand and the altar of incense. The lamp represents the eternal presence of God as well as God as the eternal source of everything. It also speaks of spiritual illumination. Today it is the Holy Spirit which gives illumination to believers. There is also the Bread of the presence. It was also known as the face bread. It symbolically represents God as the food of life. Next comes the Altar of incense which was the eternal adoration of God as Creator and Source of everything. This altar of incense also represents the worship and prayers of believers.

Now we come to the veil between the Holy of Holies and the Most holy place. This represents the body of Christ. Man was provided access to God when Christ died on that cross and rent His own body in death. That why at the time of Christs death the veil in the tabernacle was also rent signifying that the obstacle standing between God and man has been permanently removed. The High Priest was only allowed to enter the Most Holy place once a year on the day of atonement. The Most holy place represented the eternal dwelling place of God Almighty. In the Most Holy place there was also the ark of the covenant which contained the law, the budding rod of Aaron and the manna. Christ was the living representation of the law and He came to fulfill that law through His earthly ministry and His death on the cross. We also find here the mercy seat which was the golden cover on top of the ark of the covenant. The mercy seat represents the removal or covering of sin by means of a suitable sacrifice. Christ own Blood was shed to once and for all was away the sins of the whole world.

In the Most Holy place there was also the Glory of God or the manifested presence of God. It represents the way God eternally exist in heaven. From their He looks down on the mercy seat and remembers that the price of sin has been paid. This is what Jesus was referring to when he cried out on the cross that it was finished. The debt of man has been paid in full. Because of this man can now confidently enter God’s presence (Hebrew 4:16) Knowing that he has been reconciled to God by the blood of Jesus.

Colossians 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
There can no longer be any doubt, the work of Jesus Christ on the cross was complete and nothing more can ever be added. All that remains for mankind is to accept that fact and to claim for themselves everything which Christ has provided for them on the cross.

Mat 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Pro 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Pro 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Pro 3:8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Isa 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

One of the primary ways in which men disqualifies themselves from the blessings of God is by been to wise for their own good. They want to reason everything out and prove to everyone how clever they are. But Jesus said we should become trusting and believing as little children. In fact, the Amplified Bible says: Unless you repent, change, turnabout and become like little children, trusting, loving, lowly, forgiving, you can never enter the kingdom of God. Solomon says in Proverbs 3 that we should put no confidence in our own understanding and we should not become wise in our own eyes. Isiah says the only way to experience complete peace is by focusing the mind on God and everything which He represents and by trusting God completely.

The book of Hebrews chapter 3 and 4 has more to say about not accepting everything which God has given us.

Heb 3:7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
Heb 3:8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
Heb 3:9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
Heb 3:10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
Heb 3:11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Heb 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Heb 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
Heb 3:15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Heb 3:16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
Heb 3:17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
Heb 3:18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
Heb 3:19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Unbelieve, rejecting or questioning God’s Word immediately disqualifies people from receiving the blessings and the promises of God. You may say, how can this be, have we not discovered that everything has been fully paid for by Jesus. Yes, that true, but we receive those things through faith by trusting God unconditionally like little children. When Jesus walked on this earth He had power to heal and forgive but in most of the cases he asked the afflicted, do you believe that I can do this and when they were healed, Jesus said your own faith has healed you.

Mat 13:54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
Mat 13:55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
Mat 13:56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?
Mat 13:57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
Matthew 13:58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

The Scripture will never cease to amaze me. Here was Jesus the son of God and he was able to heal and deliver. Unfortunately, very few people were healed because by their reasoning among themselves, they rejected Jesus Christ and all the power invested in him. And we already know that without faith it is impossible to please God. Hebrews 11:6. He came to his own town where He has grown up and those people rejected him and would not belief that he was God’s ambassador sent to represent the kingdom of God.

Joh 8:18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
Joh 8:19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.
Joh 8:20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
Joh 8:21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.

Jesus is the only way to the father and he is also the only solution for the needs of the whole world. If people reject Jesus, then we will also lose all hope of redemption and of an eternal reward.

Matthew 9:2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
Matthew 9:22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
Matthew 9:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
Matthew 14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
Matthew 15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Matthew 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
Mark 2:5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
Mark 4:40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
Mark 10:52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
Luke 5:20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
Luke 7:9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
Luke 7:50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
Luke 8:48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Luke 12:28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Luke 12:30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Luke 17:6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

Luke 17:19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Luke 18:42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
Luke 22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Everything in the Kingdom of God revolves around faith. Everything came into being through faith. Without faith absolutely nothing was made. Everything is being kept in its current condition through faith. Whatever we require from God must be received by faith. Without faith we will not be able to receive anything. In fact, the Bible says that it is impossible to please God without faith. When people read the New Testament they are so focused on the power of Jesus Christ which is typically used to heal the sick and afflicted. However, they fail to realize that Jesus himself has said that it was the individual faith of those sick people which was the important thing which was necessary in order to bring about that healing. Many people are praying today for a wide variety of things because they trust that God is able to provide in their needs. Unfortunately, they do not really believe and neither do they thank and praise God in advance for their miracle. They fail to realize that it is important to give thanks and praise until the requested blessing comes. When you praise God you are expressing your confidence in the fact that God is greater than all your problems or needs. The highest faith which any person can have is to continue to praise God in the midst of your impossible situation.
Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
There is the story of the wealthy man which was terminally ill. Four highly renowned medical surgeons were standing around his hospital bed telling him that there was nothing they could do for him anymore. The man became very angry and told them to call is sons. He told his sons to take him to a five-star hotel and then to get him as many comedy movies as they can find. He said that if he had to die he will do so laughing. He lied in that hotel bed for four days and within four days he has laughed himself to a state of complete health. The terminal condition was completely healed and for many years this man has traveled from university campus to university campus telling students about what has happened to him. There can be no greater faith than a person which is laughing in the face of impending death. The truth is that someone which is waiting for their miracle to take place may never laugh again. However, those who are laughing while they are waiting for their miracle will be laughing for many years.
Another example of claiming something which is not yet a reality is found in the book of Genesis regarding Abraham. Remember his name was initially Abram but God change that name to Abraham when Abraham turned 99.
Gen 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
Gen 17:2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
Gen 17:3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
Gen 17:4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
Gen 17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
085 'Abraham {ab-raw-hawm'}
contracted from 01 and an unused root (probably meaning to be populous); TWOT - 4b; n pr m
 AV - Abraham 175; 175
Abraham = "father of a multitude" or "chief of multitude" 1) friend of God and founder of Hebrew nation via God's elective covenant

All of this simply sounds wonderful because here we have divine intervention in the life of Abram and God even changes his name. The problem is how many times do you think Abraham was ridiculed when he introduced himself as a father of a multitude when everyone knew he had only one son at that time. However, when Abraham turned 100 Isaac was born. Pregnancy is a process which lasts nine months. This means that from the time that God changed his name until Sarah conceived took only three months. This is a perfect illustration of the power of positive confession especially if such a confession is based on unconditional trust in the promises of God.
Where does faith come from?
Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
In other words, the more you read the Bible or listen to Bible based sermons the better is your chances of having strong faith. The problem is so many sermons are no longer based on the Bible. Many sermons are personal opinions. This is why every believer has to study the scriptures for themselves just like the new believers in the book of Acts did.
Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Joh 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
God’s word has tremendous power. It is the creative force by which everything came into existence.
Mat 13:18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
Mat 13:19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
Mat 13:20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
Mat 13:21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
Mat 13:22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
Mat 13:23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
This is why it is so important to have a fertile and a receptive heart. This is why it is important to have the attitude and the mindset of a little child. Those who are going to constantly reason about everything have very little chance of experiencing the power of God’s word. They are unlikely to receive all of the blessings which God has spoken about in His word. The secret to a life of prosperity and perfect health is to have a heart which is filled with the treasure of God’s word. And this is why God is encouraging His people to meditate on His word.
Jos 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Deuteronomy 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

Deuteronomy 30:14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
Deu 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
Deu 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
Deu 6:8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
Deu 6:9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

Psa 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Psa 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
Psa 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Psa 119:1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
Psa 119:2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
Psa 119:3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
Psa 119:4 Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.
Psa 119:5 O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!
Psa 119:6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.
Psa 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
Joh 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Jam 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
If you desire to live a miraculous life as a believer, you need to stay within the boundaries of the word of God. You have to make a quality decision to put God’s word above the diagnosis from your doctor or of the advice of your lawyer. If you do that with childlike faith God will always make a way for you. You will always be victorious regardless of the obstacles which you may face. When you have unconditional trust in the word of God you can never fail and you can never be defeated. It does not matter what obstacles you might encounter your trust in God will see you through every time.
1Jo 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
With Jesus who is God’s word which has become flesh living in your heart you will always come out on top regardless of the trials and tribulations which you might encounter.
