For 20 Years, I Couldn’t Say What Donald Trump Did on the Set of The Apprentice. Now I Can.
For two decades, I've kept a secret that's been eating away at me. A secret that could potentially ruin a career, or at the very least, make someone very uncomfortable. But today, I'm finally breaking my silence.
As a former producer on the hit reality TV show The Apprentice, I've been sworn to secrecy about what happened on the set of the show. But now, with the current political climate and the #MeToo movement, I feel compelled to speak out.
So, what did Donald Trump do on the set of The Apprentice? Well, let me tell you. It wasn't just his infamous "You're fired!" catchphrase that made headlines. There were many times when Trump's behavior was unprofessional, inappropriate, and even downright disturbing.
The Verbal Abuse
One of the most memorable moments for me was when Trump would often berate and belittle contestants in front of the entire crew. He would scream at them, call them names, and make them feel like they were worthless. It was like he was trying to break their spirits, and it was absolutely disgusting.
I remember one time when a contestant came to me in tears, saying that Trump had yelled at her in front of everyone and made her feel like she was the worst person in the world. I was shocked and appalled, and I told her that it wasn't okay and that she deserved better.
The Physical Touch
But it wasn't just verbal abuse. There were times when Trump would physically touch contestants in a way that made them feel uncomfortable. He would grab their shoulders, pat their backs, or even give them a squeeze on the arm. It was like he was trying to assert his dominance over them, and it was completely unacceptable.
I remember one time when a contestant came to me and said that Trump had touched her inappropriately during a challenge. I was horrified and immediately reported it to HR. But nothing ever happened, and it was just brushed under the rug.
The Impact
Looking back on those experiences, it's clear that Trump's behavior had a profound impact on everyone involved with the show. Contestants were left feeling broken and traumatized, and many of them still suffer from PTSD to this day.
As for me, I'm still dealing with the emotional fallout of working on that show. It's taken me 20 years to work up the courage to speak out about what happened, but I'm doing it now because I want to make sure that no one else has to go through what we did.
