Piers Morgan: The Pathetically Trivial, Dumb Case Against Trump Damages the US and Gives Him One Foot Back in the White House

The absurdity of the Trump impeachment trial is a national embarrassment. It's a pathetic, trivial, and intellectually bankrupt exercise that's damaging the very fabric of American democracy. And, paradoxically, it's giving Trump a renewed sense of momentum and determination to win the next election.

The latest nonsense from the Democratic-led Senate has been to try Trump on a flimsy charge of "incitement" for his alleged role in the January 6th Capitol riots. But let's be clear: this is a baseless, weak, and utterly unconvincing case.

The so-called "evidence" presented by the prosecution has been laughable, with even some of the Democrats admitting it's circumstantial at best. The only thing that's been proven is that Trump's enraged supporters are more fired up than ever before, and that's a recipe for disaster.

Trump's supporters are not just any ordinary group of people. They are a passionate, dedicated, and often embattled bunch who have been driven to the edge by years of political correctness, censorship, and elitism. They're not going to be swayed by some half-baked charges of "incitement" or "insurrection".

On the contrary, this travesty is likely to galvanize Trump's base even further. It's a clear example of the deep-seated establishment bias and corruption that has been a hallmark of the Democrat-controlled Congress.

As I've said before, Trump is not perfect, but he's a symptom of a far deeper problem in American politics. The real issue is the lack of accountability and transparency within the Beltway elite, and this impeachment trial is just another example of that.

The truth is that Trump's enemies are not just trying to take him down – they're trying to take down the entire populist movement that has swept the nation. They're trying to silence the voices of ordinary Americans who are fed up with the status quo and demand change.

And that's why this trial is so dangerous. It's not just about Trump – it's about the very foundations of American democracy. It's about whether or not ordinary Americans will continue to be silenced and marginalized by the powerful elites who control Washington.

So, as we watch this farce unfold, we must remember that Trump is not just a person – he's a symbol of resistance against the corrupt establishment. And we must continue to stand with him, even if it means standing against the mainstream media, the Deep State, and all the other forces that want to take him down.
