Ukraine's Allies at Shangri-La Dialogue Push for More Defence Aid

Ukraine's allies at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore have pushed for more defence aid to help the country fend off Russia's invasion, as tensions between Russia and Ukraine continue to escalate.

The two-day dialogue, which concluded on June 2, brought together defence ministers and security officials from around the world to discuss pressing global security issues. Ukraine's Defence Minister, Oleksii Reznikov, urged the international community to provide more military assistance to Ukraine, citing the country's struggle to defend itself against Russian aggression.

"We are fighting for our freedom, for our sovereignty, and for our people. We need your support, your help, and your solidarity," Reznikov said in a speech at the dialogue.

Reznikov's plea was echoed by other defence ministers from Ukraine's allies, including those from the United States, Canada, and European countries. The officials emphasized the need for increased military aid to Ukraine, including weapons, ammunition, and training.
