Presidential Candidates and Their Agendas: A Critical Analysis
https://www.buymeacoffee.com/JusticePretorius
As the US presidential election approaches, it's essential to critically examine the agendas of the candidates and their potential to bring about real change. The current state of affairs in the US is plagued by issues such as expensive healthcare costs, immigration, employment, foreign policy, the federal deficit, and global warming, which have been discussed for decades with little progress.
The Illusion of Change
The two opposing parties have identified these issues, but their solutions are often vague and lack concrete action. The reality is that the true power lies not with the president, but with the powers behind the scenes. Even President Biden's efforts to implement change were limited by the Republican-controlled Senate. To bring about real change, there needs to be a complete shift in power and infrastructure.
The Same Old Garbage
The current problems being discussed are merely rebranded versions of the same issues that have been debated for decades. The policies implemented by the president and politicians are designed to maintain the status quo, ensuring that the system remains unchanged. Those in power have no incentive to make drastic changes, as they profit from the current system.
Collateral Damage
The millions of Americans struggling with medical debt due to high healthcare costs are collateral damage in this system. The powers that be will not make significant changes to their policies, as this would require them to relinquish some of their power. Instead, they will provide limited relief, only to revert back to the status quo when the situation becomes manageable again.
A Critical Election
The upcoming presidential election is crucial in determining whether the US will see any real change. However, it's essential to recognize that presidents come and go, but the underlying power structures remain largely unchanged. To bring about lasting change, there needs to be a fundamental shift in power and infrastructure.
