Angelina Jolie is fighting back against her ex-husband Brad Pitt's legal demand to turn over her previous non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) in their ongoing legal battle. Pitt sued Jolie over the sale of their $500 million winery, Château Miraval, two years ago. Jolie claims she sold her stake in the business after Pitt asked her to sign a stringent NDA that would cover his personal misconduct, including domestic abuse allegations.
Pitt's lawyers recently asked Jolie to turn over her other NDAs to prove whether she could have viewed Pitt's request as "the deal-ender she subsequently alleged it to be." However, Jolie is now pushing back against this motion, calling it "unreasonable" and "abusive" in newly filed documents obtained by Page Six.
Jolie has previously alleged that she left Pitt after he turned his physical abuse on their children for the first time on a 2016 flight from France. She sold her 40% stake in the winery to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler in 2021. Shefler has since taunted Pitt in court, calling him "an actor, not a winemaker."
The legal battle between Jolie and Pitt continues, with Jolie refusing to back down against her ex-husband's demands. The case has brought attention to the alleged abusive behavior of Pitt and the use of NDAs to silence victims of abuse.
